See Terms of Service.
This policy explains what information LoreFind stores, why we store it, and how location and analytics data are used.
What We Store
Account information
Email address, account type, public profile name, optional profile details, and optional profile image.
Exploration and progress data
Records you visit, first-visited and last-visited timestamps, visit counts, last recorded visit coordinates, and achievement completion history.
Popup and moderation data
Popup notification status (pending/acknowledged) and reports submitted through moderation tools.
Analytics and operational data
Request metadata such as path, method, response status, timing, browser/OS/device details, and coarse geo lookup fields derived from IP. For signed-in usage, analytics records may also include user id, email, and role for operational reporting and abuse prevention.
How GPS Data Is Used
Location access is permission-based. If you do not grant location access, visit tracking and distance features are limited.
When permission is granted, LoreFind uses your device location to:
- show how far away records are,
- sort nearby records, and
- record a visit when you are close enough to a location.
LoreFind is not intended to track your continuous background location. Location checks happen while relevant pages/features are in use.
How Analytics Is Used
Analytics is used to monitor reliability, usage trends, and product quality (for example: page popularity, errors, and performance).
We primarily review analytics in aggregated or anonymized reporting views where possible.
Third-Party Sharing
LoreFind does not sell your personal information and does not provide your account or exploration data to third-party advertisers.
We do not intentionally disclose personal user data to third parties, except where legally required.
We may use service providers that process limited data on our behalf to operate LoreFind (for example, email delivery providers for account and support communications). Where used, those providers are contractually restricted to service operations and not permitted to use your data for their own advertising purposes.
Data Retention
We retain data as needed to operate LoreFind, maintain account history and achievements, support moderation, and improve platform stability and safety.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information.
LoreFind is intended to operate over HTTPS to protect data in transit.
No method of transmission or storage is completely risk-free, but we work to reduce risk and limit access to operational need.
Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your LoreFind account and associated personal data by contacting us at ....
When we process a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify personal account data unless retention is required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.
Some operational logs and backup records may persist for a limited time before they are overwritten or purged in routine retention cycles.
Your Choices
You can choose whether to grant location permissions at the browser/device level.
You can manage what is visible on your public profile from your profile settings.
